@gruber, I agree with you about iPad Pro not being the dev kit—great discussion. You can imagine that Apple wouldn’t want to deal with subsequent comments like, ‘Aha! So an iPad can be a Mac! Give us macOS instead on iPad now, pls’. It’s branding + corporate philosophy, for sure.
