Before our next instalment of @HemisphericV comes out, if you’re a fan of the city of #Perth or #pickles as a midnight snack, you should catch up with our latest episode of the #podcast first: listen.hemisphericviews.com/022 (A taste can be found below!) t.co/vfV2uxDRX…

@Chundles (Same here!) Although I do recall people who tried to buy iMacs with a cheque and leave with them straight away… perhaps you do too.

Listener dedication right here! Thanks for listening to @HemisphericV! 🎙 😀 💯 #podcast #technology twitter.com/gdpittman/stat…

@gruber I’m not sure if you’ve seen this before but it reminded me of your recent chats on @ditheringfm about plain text on the earlier Web and in email: wwwtxt.org/about (Also separate from that I’m loving the Intel-related links and articles.)

In this episode of #HemisphericViews, Jason gives me and @andrewcanion a very thorough performance review, then we discuss the power of #Amazon, our Media Corner picks and a most controversial snack—the midnight pickle. Check out the #podcast below! twitter.com/HemisphericPod… t.co/OWyo8k2HQ…

@ismh @Tales Totally correct—Apple’s on a different level now. To me, the last real area in which they can do this is in privacy, in highlighting where others are insufficient or devious. The risk is that they have to be perfect 100 per cent of the time in order to dish privacy spice.

In addition to chat about #podcasting and the end of #HomePod, I review three really different films—Another Round, Sentimental and @MinariMovie—which share a very similar theme. twitter.com/LoungeRuminato…

@_gabytron @andrewcanion @CammyGliddon @jmoon32 @nicktan77 @HemisphericV You’re right!!!

15 Mar 2021

@andrewcanion @CammyGliddon @jmoon32 @nicktan77 @HemisphericV You’re a brave man, Andrew. Somehow it works though. 🙂

15 Mar 2021

@andrewcanion @CammyGliddon @jmoon32 @nicktan77 Where was this moustache on our most recent @HemisphericV call?

15 Mar 2021

I’m annoyed that I didn’t think of this! How brilliant! Check it out, @jodiefeld. twitter.com/Al_Stoyanov/st…

13 Mar 2021

@Chundles It confuses me because Apple is generally regarded as the company that integrates things well. Teams not talking to each other? Too many things to manage now? Overstretched?

13 Mar 2021

@Chundles @Apple Hmmm yes… that does seem a little bizarre… something to do with processors? I know that Apple TV HD doesn’t support that (from the set-top box end) but the 4K does.

13 Mar 2021

@Chundles @Apple Are you referring to the fact that this is not automatically selected all the time and that you have to toggle it manually in the AirPlay menu? t.co/d0QGzrUR4…

@lukebuckmaster I missed my absolute favourite: A Fish Called Wanda.

13 Mar 2021

@lukebuckmaster Four titles include: (1) Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood; (2) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; (3) Chicken People; and (4) What’s Up, Doc?

13 Mar 2021

@bemckenna A great way to put it: ‘Good enough prospers’.

13 Mar 2021

@BitsPlusAtoms My sister has a stereo pair of minis and I was very impressed. 👍🏽 Have a good one! 🙂

13 Mar 2021

@BitsPlusAtoms I don’t have an extensive home set-up with accessories, but I absolutely LOVE the integration with Apple TV (AirPlay 2) and having them show up in the Now Playing app on my watch. I find the Siri capability to be great otherwise—I fire questions at them regularly.

13 Mar 2021

It’s a shame to hear that @Apple has discontinued the original #HomePod—simply the best sound. I have a stereo pair and in this combination, I’d say that it’s my favourite #Apple product of the last few years. Let’s hope that support continues for a while (not just for the mini). t.co/7q0FlBQLS…

This is evidence that Twitter can be a useful, positive space—simply stumbling into others’ learning and then discovering something new for yourself. twitter.com/KateMfD/status…

@michaelmhughes @zcichy Could be! Good point

11 Mar 2021

@zcichy I’m not sure if it’s related to the M1 in my Mac mini or something else—let’s assume that it is—but Skype now sometimes flickers and strobes in a bizarre way, which didn’t happen on my previous one. It’s not just the video call; it’s the whole window! It has never crashed though.

@_connectedfm @viticci Haha I adore the keys on the Smart Keyboard! To each their own, I suppose!
