@Chundles Perhaps it’s asking some grand, philosophical question: ‘Why are you a technolog?’.
@lukebuckmaster A great review! It is a bit unsettling and often I wonder about how film-makers fail to ask the question ‘Why should we do this?’.
@jsnell Ridiculous! I suppose the upside is not making it 20 consecutive Fridays rather than just days, as that would make it last for 20 weeks…
@lukebuckmaster I agree with much of what you said! I spoke about this in my podcast (loungeruminator.net/2020/09/11/43-…) but you should really check out this great video by @Cinematologists: patreon.com/posts/video-po…
I absolutely love #Ferrite for iPadOS by @wooji; using Apple Pencil with it is a dream. Here’s a screenshot of the app, which shows the most recent episode of our #HemisphericViews podcast: listen.hemisphericviews.com/009😀 t.co/N9LChH5cY…
@endlessnoodling @AppleNews That sums it up!
This same rubbish also appears in News+ articles that use the special ‘Apple News Format’. Here’s another example within an article about the new #iPhone… a lovely contrast between Apple’s attention to detail in premium hardware design and lazy revenue for services. t.co/AyFNFWCE4…
I like @AppleNews and subscribe to News+ but stuff like this (in the feed and articles) ruins what should be a smooth, premium experience. Ads shouldn’t be there at all. This would be like buying a Mac with a sticker on it or finding an anti-virus brochure in the box. t.co/F0FwTOUag…
@GR36 Ha, classic! That’s a great suggestion, thank you.
@GR36 Woo! Thanks for the feedback and endorsement, Greg!

@andrewcanion Thanks for sharing it! I’d rather that it be done properly anyway but it would be nice to have now.
Before our next regular episode of #HemisphericViews arrives, catch up on the last of our recent HVmini trilogy about desks! It’s Jason’s turn to be questioned: listen.hemisphericviews.com/008 | #technology #podcast t.co/VQJSP38gj…
This is brilliant. twitter.com/markhumphries/…
@gruber I think you’re both right. As someone who cares about the Mac and its history, I don’t mind if the platform gains touch but only if it doesn’t interfere with current input methods. It should be like the pointer on iPadOS: out of the way and only visible/apparent if you need it.
This makes me incredibly happy; it’s my favourite writing app. twitter.com/iAWriter/statu…

@macgenie Such coordination!!!
@andrewcanion @sharped Haha thanks for the plug, Andrew! David, to give a better idea of the ‘native’ podcasting that I’m describing, here’s an example: relay.fm/membership 😀
@sharped Good questions! I’m afraid that I don’t have the answers to those and honestly they had never interested or occurred to me. I’m in a different podcasting world from what you’re describing (native podcasts that didn’t start on radio). I shall have to consider that. 😀
