@Jodowa Great choices on @ABCaustralia’s Rage! You’re right that Australia is lucky to have this show. You may be interested in this quick podcast of mine on music videos, with reference to shows like Rage… podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/lou…

‘Flagged!’ A fantastic comic about society’s and companies’ views of nudity by Katie Wheeler on @thenib thenib.com/flagged/
Everyone should use this app. The TestFlight version has been excellent and it’s already wonderful on the Mac too. #RSS #blogging #news #iOS twitter.com/NetNewsWire/st…
I generally avoid tweeting political things nowadays, particularly from outside of my own country, but this is such an intelligent and considered answer. twitter.com/meghanbkelly/s…
@LanceStrate A fantastic book and a huge help in my early literature review… I feel like I have a much better handle on the field having read it.
Look what you’ve done, @siracusa! My work Mac has to be on Mojave (for boring deployment reasons), which means that I can’t run SwitchGlass. After only a brief time, I much prefer having the switcher and have to wait until I go home to use it. I’m in a glass case of emotion! 😄😮
Algorithms surround us in the tech that we use, the systems in which we work and even in the way that we approach everyday tasks. In this episode, I pose the question: as we become more rational and process-driven in our lives, are we losing something more human about ourselves? twitter.com/LoungeRuminato…
@mgsiegler The funny thing about using Twitter as a non-American (and even other networks like Micro.blog and Mastodon) is how much you become flooded with American political news. I could mute and muffle words forever and still be inundated. 😂
@BitsPlusAtoms @gruber What a great summary, thank you! I wasn’t around at the time but have enjoyed reading the general history. It’s great to speak to people who were part of it all, whether in your case at both companies or as a student/user/enthusiast like Gruber was.
@CraigJDuffy I prefer the general experience and smoothness of Apple Mail, however the options that Outlook provides that line up with where I work (room bookings, invitations, etc.) are really good. It just depends on the context. I’m not surprised that your Final Cut runs like butter too!
What a great word! I’ll be using this one… ‘bombinate’. t.co/kenAM1Ogm…

@GR36 I use WordPress and that’s quite a fair assessment.
@KateMfD @Rubyyjjones As an extrovert in my undergraduate classes, I always tried to take several seconds before leaping in with an answer, in order to let someone more introverted jump in first. I mustn’t have been that successful though, as I was once labelled ‘mature-aged student’ when I wasn’t! 🤣
@BitsPlusAtoms @gruber Fascinating! :) What was the general experience of working at each of those companies?
For #BCM212, if I may say… lectures ensure a human connection in education and create a space for slower, extended listening and thinking. This is so important as more of modern life is divided into tiny digital bits. The format may be revised but speech in person is crucial. twitter.com/KateMfD/status…
@daylebeazley Thanks, @KateMfD. Do it if you have a real passion for a particular topic and you want to develop your research skills. Don’t do it as a way to get a job because most people won’t understand its value immediately or know what it is. It should be an enjoyable experience!
@mattcassinelli Just subscribed! Looking forward to your updates and yay for RSS! 😀
@ismh @pocketcasts I thoroughly enjoyed the first show on the Newton; it was very thorough and I learnt a lot! Looking forward to listening to the next one about the Zune…
@GR36 When you’ve gone through the trouble of moving content or trying a new blogging platform, what is it that you’re looking for the most? What’s the hook that would keep you and your blog on a particular site?
@yuusharo @CraigJDuffy I use Office at work every day on a Mac and I agree that it slows things down. My Mac handles large video files beautifully in Final Cut Pro X but opening Word often results in Dock-bouncing. That being said, Outlook offers the smoothest experience and is actually quite nice.
@Drewbydrew_ @siracusa In general, having the words ‘enjoying’ and ‘Microsoft’ in the same sentence is oxymoronic. 🙂

@gruber I imagine it would have been intriguing… still cool today. This is the closest that I could get to one at an exhibition called ‘Interface’ in Sydney, plus an Apple I and other items. Loved it. The accompanying book at the end of this page is also great: maas.museum/event/interfac… t.co/E4QtaNo3L…
