I still enjoy Twitter to a degree, however I’ve found @microdotblog is where I prefer to start conversations and post anything quick that isn’t for @LoungeRuminator. With that in mind, I’ve started cross-posting from Micro.blog to Twitter. Let’s see how it goes. 😀

We watched episode 11 of The Handmaid’s Tale on SBS On Demand last night. Wow… that was some excellent television (or content or streaming or whatever we’re supposed to call it these days). 📺

@KateMfD 😮😮😮 Back up and running yet?

@atpfm #AskATP Of these three keyboards, which would @marcoarment find the most bearable to use? feldnotes.com/2019/08/01/i-d… (1) Apple USB Keyboard (2) Apple Wireless Keyboard (3) Butterfly Keyboard on MacBook Air (2018)

@tuckerjj That’s pretty amazing. It’s all about the angle!

Your discussion about the effect of cereal ads on kids on @thetalkshow was really interesting, @gruber @marcoarment. I recall (from media studies at uni) that research showed that kids don’t understand that ads are separate from the main show until around the age of five or six.

@nickpmclaren Haha I’ll go with both.

@nickpmclaren @abcnews I used to be one of those unfortunate commuters until I managed to find a role closer to home in Wollongong. (It’s getting a bit out of hand.) @BetootaAdvocate had an amusing piece on Sydney and its relationship with the Gong, which I expanded on here: loungeruminator.net/2019/07/29/rum…

@Jessifer Thanks for following! I look forward to catching your updates. :)

29 Jul 2019

@KateMfD @slamteacher @Jessifer @14prinsp I couldn’t agree more. The feeling of discussing and sharing outweighs anything that numbers can achieve or show.

@sarahjperry4 Congratulations! Woo! Also, I hope that you’re having a great trip. :)

@ulyssesapp This message appears whenever I try to sign into my account to publish from Ulysses and this is even after a password reset (just to make sure) and also reinstalling the app. My Internet connection is also fine. t.co/vKsaltRct…

@ulyssesapp Hi! Is there an issue with Wordpress sign-in and publishing at the moment? The app refuses to accept my credentials and they are correct. Thanks! 🙂

26 Jul 2019

@DrPeterBentley @KateMfD That’s a great idea. :)

26 Jul 2019

@maddiepalmer Ah I see… not good either way :/

26 Jul 2019

@KateMfD @VConnecting Vanity is a perfect way to put it! In my previous role, I had to participate in a corporate conference and from start to finish, I questioned the point of sitting in that gigantic room together. It was nothing but shameless self-congratulation and schmoozing the whole time.

26 Jul 2019

@KateMfD Those numbers are staggering! Have you had many experiences with virtual conferences? Is that much of a thing at the moment?

26 Jul 2019

@maddiepalmer I remember people who were bullied for being bookworms at school. I also remember it being somewhat gendered—I was a bookworm and read (or used computers) at lunch sometimes but it was the girls who seemed to be judged. Not saying that’s the case for everyone, just observed it.
